Western Aero Receives Silver Boeing Performance Excellence Award

Western Aero Services announced today that it has received the Boeing Performance Excellence Award for 2010. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. Western Aero Services maintained a Silver composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from Oct. 1, 2009, to Sept. 30, 2010.

This year, Boeing recognized 558 suppliers who achieved either a Gold or Silver level Boeing Performance Excellence Award. Western Aero Services is one of only 417 suppliers to receive the Silver level of recognition.

“We are honored to be awarded with this distinction for the third year in a row. This award formally recognizes our commitment to achieving 100% quality and 100% on time delivery for all of our clients,” says Scott Balfanz, president of Western Aero Services.

Western Aero Services supplies numerous parts to Boeing for the KC-135 and KC-10 aerial re-fueling aircraft.

We’ve just expanded our inventory agreement with Omega Aviation Services, Ltd. to include consignment of the Royal Australian Air Force’s 707 inventory! Combined with the Japan Airline’s DC-10 material, we can support both the KC-135 and KC-10 from tip to tail.

Western Aero Services today announced that it has received the Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. Western Aero Services maintained a minimum Silver composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from Oct. 1, 2008, to Sept. 30, 2009.

This year, Boeing recognized 486 suppliers who achieved either a Gold or Silver level Boeing Performance Excellence Award. Western Aero Services is among 358 suppliers to receive the Silver level of recognition.

“We are thrilled to be awarded with this distinction for the second year in a row. Awards like this reflect our meticulous attention to detail and superior customer service,” says Scott Balfanz, President of Western Aero Services.

Western Aero Services supplies numerous parts to Boeing for the KC-135 and KC-10 aerial re-fueling aircraft.

Founded in 1989 in Colorado, Western Aero Services quickly became known for its expertise with 707 aircraft. Over the past two decades, Western Aero Services has expanded its operations to include a woman owned airframe repair facility and has grown its inventory and knowledge base to include a wider range of Boeing and Douglas aircraft, including B707, B727, B737, B747, and DC-10 aircraft.
